LuckyFABB look

This past week I attended my first blog conference, LuckyFABB, a trip that introduced me to a packed schedule of dinners, first-time meetups, and a general New York Fashion Week buzz felt throughout the city. At the beginning of 2012 I told myself that I was going to attend at least one conference, so when the opportunity arose I went for it and signed up for Lucky's gathering in New York. I will definitely share more happenings from the week, but I thought I would begin with the conference outfit. Twitter, Instagram, and any of the many other social networking communities were buzzing with outfit looks, styled down to the last swipe of polish on each manicured nail. I took the opportunity to test out a bit of pattern mixing with a skirt that had been resting in the closet and a new blouse that will be my new buttoned up staple. The finished look is what I like to call the alternative secretary, reminiscent of an office look with a healthy dose of color and new silhouettes.
