Magazine inspired

Nothing gives me more outfit inspiration than perusing magazines like J.Crew and Kate Spade. They hold a special spot in my heart for their outfit styling, design ability, and the know-how to make me exclaim "I want that!" with nearly every flip of the page. The staple items that pop up constantly in each company's seasonal selections are simple pairs of cropped trousers and a wear it everywhere blouse. These items create the perfect canvas to expand in any direction, whether it is color, patterns, or embellishments. After coming across these purple pants...on a trip to TJ Maxx no less, I knew that my cropped searching had been fulfilled. Paired with that classic polka dot blouse I've been using in many outfits (like this one), the look felt like it came right out of my favorite company catalogs, and of course had to be photographed in an impromptu fashion shoot with Heather.
