Life lately

Paul's homemade waffles

As I mentioned on Monday, this week has been crammed full of work training in the snowy land of West Michigan. Later tonight I get to hop a plane back home to Los Angeles and while the winter getaway was useful, educational, and exactly what I needed to dive into a new job (not to mention, an excuse to break out my sleeping bag-ish cold weather jacket), I'm ready to get back home. I was on photo and Instagram overload this week, gathering shots of iconic furniture, much needed sips of wine, and the fluffy white powder that rained down all of Thursday. I hope you all had a chance to check out Heather's inspiration post yesterday, she shares a great message about that often hard juggle between personal time and work life. I also shared a perfect DIY for those Valentine cocktails I know will be on the menu this 14th. This weekend I'm taking Paul to my new favorite breakfast spot, Sycamore Kitchen, then filling my weekend with absolutely nothing but free time, the perfect way to unwind from a week of work.

  1. Sounds like heaven! I hope I don't spend too much time hunkering down with financial statements!

  2. I miss California. You were luck to sample the cold and then return home. On a trip like that, it is very appealing. Great pictures.
